In the spirit of the naughtiest holiday, we got down and dirty with our February/March 2009 issue, themed “Naked.” Taking the word to our Intentionally Urban hearts, we stripped down everything from fashion and food to energy and spending. And celebrated the release of all things “Naked” by throwing a party on February 6, 2009, as only we can (anybody remember our smash of a launch party?).

The inaugural “Having It All” issue was unveiled to more than five hundred urbanites, who packed the Bamboo Grove Salon in Portland, Oregon to support and celebrate this exciting new endeavor. Blind Pilot performed, and there were lots of good eats, many bottles of wine, and plenty of Roots Organic brew to go around. On the way out the door, in|ur gave away trees with a tag reading, “in|ur footprint: plant this tree as a way to offset your other print subscriptions.”
