Erin Sutherland, thrifty shopping
in|ur budget
cheapskate@inurmagazine.com
Erin Sutherland is the Director of Community Relations for Oregon College of Oriental Medicine and a vocalist in local band, The Stolen Sweets. She spends every spare moment searching out bargains in Portland's wide array of thrift and vintage shops. She likes to think of her hobby as a form of philanthropy: she is providing a safe haven where the city's abandoned shoes, clothing and housewares can take refuge.

Joanna Hartman, 5% donations
in|ur heart
joanna@inurmagazine.com
When she's not trying to save the world alongside the American Cancer Society and The Dougy Center, or battling her own unlikely medical flukes abroad (think adult-onset chicken pox), Joanna Hartman can be found exploring the Northwest by foot. Though she grew up in a Portland suburb, after living the dream and bucking the gnar in Colorado and California resort towns, she's returned home with new eyes for the place her teenage self swore she'd never live. But for the love of a fellow Oregonian, easy beach-to-mountain-to-city access and long summer days, she plans to re-grow her webbed feet and join the forces of Portlandians who wear socks with Tevas.
